Was broadcast the last week of March 1974. And now, more than 30 years after it aired, the show has such deep impact and even more meaning than it did in 1974. This is a story that is humorous and also thought provoking at times. Nobody suspected what Gary Dee really had in mind throughout this series of programs. This story has an ending with a twist, but I wont spoil it for you.

Friday, the day of Gary's funeral. Gary begins his antics during the 5:30am newscast. Then as he had done thousands of times, the show begins with Buck Owens' "My Heart Skips a Beat"..... with accompaniment from "Fearless Number One" himself.

Gary David Gilbert, (born 1935, died November 10th, 1995) on-air name Gary Dee, was a pioneer in controversial talk radio. He worked for stations which included WERE, WHK, and WWWE (now WTAM) in Cleveland, Ohio. He spent a short time in New York, but failed to achieve the huge following he had in Ohio. Gary Dee's style varied from a confrontational, "down home" manner, to brilliant satire, and a hilarous, no-holds barred "shock jock" style. He paved the way for radio stars who would follow him. Gary made heavy use of country music, especially Johnny Cash and George Jones.
